What it is

Stochastic of ALB Average is a new-panel port of mladen’s 2018 MQ5: adaptive-lookback swing length → SMA/EMA/SMMA/LWMA of price → stochastic of that moving average, centered −50 to +50. The line splits by direction: DeepSkyBlue when rising, SandyBrown when falling (two native series; hiding the up line collapses the panel to a flat zero). A thin DarkGray companion is the EMA of the stochastic (NormPeriod); LightBlue / PeachPuff fill sits between stoch and that zone EMA. A silver zero line marks the center. Optional alerts fire on a stochastic zero-cross (one-shot per bar). Defaults: stochastic period 14, slowing 3, ALB swing count 5. This is not 3 in 1 Stochastic and not Generic Stochastic. What to look for

  • The ALB average still sloping with the idea while stochastic retraces toward zero or the zone EMA
  • DeepSkyBlue hook up from below zero (or SandyBrown hook down from above) with the average still intact
  • Fill between stoch and zone EMA: a stretch away from the EMA vs hugging it
  • Disagreement: average flattening while stochastic is stuck at ±50 — cycle of a dead mean
  • Alignment with 3 in 1 H4/D1, not a lone ALB hook
  • Zero-cross alerts as a timing note, not a reverse of the Adaptive SuperTrend

Settings that matter

  • Stochastic period 14 · Slowing 3 · ALB swing count 5 · ALB speed 1 — leave unless the pane is unreadable
  • MA method on the adaptive lookback (SMA/EMA/SMMA/LWMA)
  • NormPeriod for the zone EMA — that is the companion, not a second stochastic
  • DataSeries[0] (up / DeepSkyBlue) must stay visible + scaled — hide it and the panel dies to a zero line
  • Show Alerts default off — zero-cross only

Common mistake

Reading this like a price stochastic and fading ±50 against a still-sloping ALB average. The oscillator is the average’s cycle. If the average has not turned, the trend idea may still be intact. Do not hide the DeepSkyBlue series.
