What it is
Wilson Adaptive SuperTrend is the public name on this site for the ATAS overlay ML Adaptive SuperTrend (category Wilson). K-means on ATR (train 100, three vol guesses) picks which ATR the SuperTrend uses. Last version is the original Pine look: ATR 10, factor 3, k-means once per closed-enough bar (not every tick), immediate cluster (no 5-bar hold), green/red SuperTrend only, fill gradient from the body (t2=95) to the ST (t1=70), flip ▲/▼ labels, and a 4-column table (Cluster / Centroid / Size / Now). There is no hysteresis buffer, no cluster-tinted line, no min-ATR gate, and no Bars column in this freeze. The trail is a regime and a visual stop-path, not a command to reverse. Educational overlay only. Not financial advice.
What to look for
- Green vs red ST: price holding the trail on a pullback vs closing through it
- Fill between price and the ST — expanding in trend, collapsing when the trail is about to flip
- Flip labels after a real close beyond the trail, not a wick that never held
- Cluster table Now vs Size: a tiny new cluster is a fresh regime, not automatic continuation
- Trail held while WilsonFlow Timeframe Matrix long stack is not mixed
- Repeated flips in a range — the k-means will keep switching ATR; that is chop, not a system
Settings that matter
- ATR 10 · factor 3 · train 100 · vol guesses 0.75 / 0.50 / 0.25 — frozen Pine defaults
- t1=70 / t2=95 — fill opacity gradient; cosmetics relative to the trail itself
- K-means every bar once — leave it; this last version does not cache every 8 bars
- Do not look for hysteresis / cluster tint / min ATR — they are not in this freeze
- Tint/opacity of the fill so footprint and price stay readable underneath
Common mistake
Using this as the only boss, or expecting hysteresis to filter one-bar flips — that extra Wilson filter is not in the last version. If the Timeframe Matrix is mixed or liquidity was just swept, a SuperTrend hold is not enough. Do not mix this with Lorentzian Zone; they are separate overlays.
